“O come all ye faithful …”
come to Leonhardskirche on Saturday – early for a 17:00 start, for the 2017 St. Catherine’s Carol Service.
After the service stay for Gluhwein and a chat.
Donations of mince pies or Christmas biscuits are still being sought. Bring them on Saturday and hand them over to Rainer or Jackie.
Our Archdeacon, Colin Williams, will be visiting us for the weekend and will lead the service on Saturday and the Sunday Morning Eucharist at St. Catherine’s. If you can’t make Saturday or still want to sing more Carols, like Colin, you can journey on to Ulm for our daughter congregation’s carol service.
A big thank you to Susanna, Jackie, Fumino, Andrew and the children for their retelling of the story of the “Little Drummer Girl” on Sunday morning. Amid the busy Christmas preparations it is good to stop and think “What can we give to Jesus for his birthday?”
Thank you also to those children who brought toys for donation to those less fortunate than themselves. If you missed the play, Gary captured a little of music on iPad …
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, 14th December from 10 until 12 in the Anglican Centre. We have decided to meet a week earlier than usual (on the second Thursday not the third )so that we can affix the stickers to the new carol sheets stating that they belong to St. Catherine’s and shouldn’t be taken away. Thus we hope to avoid having to replenish our stocks of carol sheets each year. So although we will be busy there will be plenty of time for a chat and a cup of tea or coffee. Look forward to seeing you.
Christmas Services at St. Catherine’s – if you are here over Christmas remember that this year our Christmas Eve Services are 11:15 celebrating the fourth Sunday of Advent and 20:00 celebrating Christmas.
