CHAPLAIN’S MUSINGS 2019

#reflectionsforthisweek
Having for weeks, advertised the Gospel Concert Event and the funds raised from donations, here are details of where those donations will go: The total stands at 1600, praise be, and many thanks to all who gave !

DIGGING WELLS SO OTHERS MAY DRINK

An Ecumenical Project in Berlin comprising Churches and Synagogues and Mosques and Temples, are working together to build wells as a sign of Hope and Peace in war-torn YEMEN.

The funds sought are 20,000€ to build a well in the town of Aljufainah which has around 10,000 inhabitants.

In Aljufainah some 452 families live without access to clean water. Because of the on-going war in Yemen, they have been joined by a further 650 families from areas in the town worst affected by war.

To dig the well in this part of the country, digging will need to go down 120 m.

Now the Stuttgart Annual Ecumenical Gospel Concert for 2019 will add its fundraising to this project. It will add our voice to the Hope and Peace message. Any donations received will go with our love and our blessing.

Thank you to all those who supported our book sale on Saturday … there are a few pictures here https://stcatherines-stuttgart.de/booksale-2019 The Fleamarket – continues all this week at the Anglican Centre.
