In the huge and tidal influx of refugees in 2015, when so many communities and cities responded to this challenge, St Catherine’s was not left behind. Under the leadership and vision of the then Chaplain, Rev’d Ken Dimmick, and in the selfless and practical gifts of the then Facilities Manager, the Kleiderkammer became a useful lifeline for countless new arrivals.
Since then much has changed. Under the leadership of the Church Council an experienced team of refugee volunteers now run the Kleiderkammer alongside church members.
The Kleiderkammer serves the needs of new refugee arrivals whose countries of origin are now more varied.
Sadly, at the moment Covid-19 has put this ministry on hold, but we are looking to a time when we can take it up again.
Thank you for your support (in whatever way) in the past or future.
