Views from the pews…

This year, the limitations imposed as a result of Covid-19 mean that travel, for most of us, has been serverly restricted. For some this has meant their working life has been considerably more home based than usual. This is especially true for our Archdeacon, The Venerable Dr Leslie Nathaniel, who with his wife Julie has been able to worship with us at St. Catherine’s much more than he might have imagined doing at the beginning of 2020.
This week Leslie shares with us a view looking beyond the pew, which was delivered at a Conference of European Churches Seminar, it takes our thoughts far beyond Stuttgart  with the challenge Do not wash your hands from Democracy, Human Rights and the Rule of Law in COVID-19 Times

A prayer for all those affected by coronavirus

Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
