Join our Lenten Pilgrimage on Saturday 14th March
We invite you to join us on a walk in the Swabian countryside, some conversation, some contemplation and a visit to the Wurmlinger Kapelle! Please see the details here Lent Walk 2026. There are various options for people who’d like to walk a long way and for people to join later, leave earlier or just join the tour of the Kapelle. Please do let Jackie know
lentenpilgrimage@stcatherines-stuttgart.de asap if you would like to join and which part.  Please note that the tour will be in German. There will be a few people around who could help translate at least some of it!

The finances – as presented at last Sunday’s meeting?

The headline news is that there is a large hole in our finances that can no longer be plugged from reserves or grant money. The Financial Situation 2026 document distributed, presents the full details of our financial situation and the limited options available to us… we either need to radically increase our income or radically cut our costs. One option discussed on Sunday was giving up the Anglican Centre.
Please read the document.
Please consider whether you can increase your giving or give in a more planned manner via bank transfer.
Please share your thoughts and suggestions with the council and chaplain as to how we can balance our budget.

Revision of the Electoral Roll: to vote or stand for election at the ACM your name must be on the Electoral Roll (ER). If you are not already on the ER, and are a baptised member of the laity who has been worshipping regularly at St. Catherine’s for the last six months, you can pick up a form at the back of church from the Welcome team or online.
These must be returned to Frances, as the Electoral Roll Officer, by Sunday 22nd March.

Advanced Notice: the Annual Church Meeting (ACM) will take place on Sunday 12th April after the 12:00 service.
Elections will be held for the posts of Church Warden x2, Deanery Synod+CAECG Rep x2, Chaplaincy Council Member x6. The roles of Church Warden and Chaplaincy Council Member are one year posts with the possibility of re-election. The Deanery Synod Representative is elected for a three year term.
Nomination forms are available from the Welcome Team at the back of church.
If you wish to stand for election please take a form, check your eligibility, find two people who are on the Electoral Roll and willing to nominate you, complete the form and return it to the Welcome Team or Frances, as the Electoral Roll Officer, who will ensure they are handed to the Chaplain before the start of the ACM.
