Join our Lenten Pilgrimage on Saturday 14th March
We invite you to join us on a walk in the Swabian countryside, some conversation, some contemplation and a visit to the Wurmlinger Kapelle! Please see the details here Lent Walk 2026. There are various options for people who’d like to walk a long way and for people to join later, leave earlier or just join the tour of the Kapelle. Please do let Jackie know
lentenpilgrimage@stcatherines-stuttgart.de asap if you would like to join and which part. If we are less than 5 people by March 2nd, we will cancel the tour. Please note that the tour will be in German. There will be a few people around who could help translate at least some of it!

Invitation to discuss the financial future of St. Catherine’s
The Council has been discussing the financial situation of St. Catherine’s, in preparation for our Annual Chaplaincy Meeting, which will take place on Sunday 12th April. Unfortunately, we are going to have to take some far-reaching decisions on how we operate to put our chaplaincy back on an even keel financially. We need all of you who have the wellbeing of St. Catherine’s at heart to join our discussion on how we can make this work – by looking for solutions to our financial predicament, but also by sharing responsibility, for instance by standing for election as church councillor or even warden.
Please join the Council for a meeting on Sunday 1st March @13:30 (after church), so we can tell you where we stand and develop creative ideas together!

Advanced Notice: the Annual Church Meeting (ACM) will take place on Sunday 12th April after the 12:00 service.
Elections will be held for the posts of Warden x2, Deanery Synod+CAECG Rep x2, Chaplaincy Council Member x6.
Nomination forms are available from the Welcome Team at the back of church. Forms can be returned to the Welcome Team or Frances, as the Electoral Roll Officer, who will ensure they are handed to the Chaplain before the start of the ACM.

Electoral Roll: to vote or stand for election at the ACM your name must be on the Electoral Roll (ER). If you are not already on the ER, and are a baptised member of the laity who has been worshipping regularly at St. Catherine’s for the last six months, you can pick up a form at the back of church from the Welcome team or online.
These must be returned to Frances, as the Electoral Roll Officer, by Sunday 22nd March.

“Come! Bring your burdens.” From Nigeria for World Day of Prayer 2026

All are invited to join an ecumenical bilingual World Day of Prayer service, on Friday 6th March @19:00 in St. Catherine’s Church or digitally via Zoom. The preparation team look forward to welcoming many guests. Afterwards, there will again be a delicious buffet of typical local dishes in the Gemeindesaal.
Be welcome, just as you are. Come! Bring your burdens.
