Notices for Sunday 13th April – Palm Sunday Eucharist @12:00

Holy Week and EasterThis Friday: Evensong @18:30
This Sunday: Palm Sunday Eucharist @12:00
with Passion Gospel reading
followed by coffee.
Many thanks to those who signed up to read. All the parts have now been allocated, other than the role of the crowd. All in the congregation are called to join in the shout of “Crucify him” at the appropriate point – and contemplate: if we had been there would we have shouted too – or kept silent – or…?

Preparing for Good Friday
Meditation
@15:00 in the Anglican Centre
Seven volunteers are sought to contribute to the Good Friday reflection on the Seven Last Words of Jesus.
Each person will be allocated a phrase and asked to prepare their reflection based on the following questions:

  1. What does this word say to me personally?
  2. What human experience or truth do I hear in it?
  3. How might it speak to us as a community today?

Please contact +Antonio chaplain@stcatherines-stuttgart.de if you wish to be involved.

Next Sunday – Easter Day Eucharist @10:00
followed by Cafe-deluxe!
Jackie requests cake / nibble contributions for Easter Sunday (not a lunch, just finger food to have with coffee). Helpers for clearing up would also be very welcome! Please let Jackie know if you can help finances@stcatherines-stuttgart.de

Our next Women’s Group meeting is on Thursday, 17th April from 10 until 12 in the Centre. If you would like to join us speak to Alison or e-mail women@stcatherines-stuttgart.de

We heard at the ACM last Sunday how unsustainable our financial situation is.  Here is an opportunity to help!
Our next Book Sale fund-raiser will be on Saturday 10th May from 10:00-16:00. We will need help setting up on Friday Evening, people to staff the event on Saturday, cakes and bakes for sale and refreshments. Plus volunteers to help clear away at the end of the day.
Speak to Alison, Bernd, Jackie or Susanna if you can help.

And if nothing else, please share the flier here ->
with your friends and neighbours and encourage them to come and spend money.

Prayers

We hold in our prayers:
– our newly elected Warden: Howard Perry
– our newly elected Council Members: Jackie W, Susanna T, Christopher S, Bernd S, Anne O’C, Roger K.
– our prospective Safeguarding Officer as they discern taking on this role
– our world: those rejoicing with hosannas, those celebrating with friends, yet aware of the problems that surround them, those tormented and in despair,  the tortured and afflicted, the prisoners and captives, the dying and those celebrating new life.
