Would you be interested in training to be a Pastoral Assistant?
The Diocese is currently assessing whether it is worth creating the training material for the role of Pastoral Assistant i.e. a qualified, authorised lay person to assist the Chaplain with Pastoral Care.
There would be a period of discernment and the role would require recommendation at a local level from Chaplain and Council. The applicant would have to complete the Lay Learning Course, which takes a year, plus two additional modules.
On successful completion they would be authorised by the Bishop.
Would anyone be interested in such training? If so please let us know. communications@stcatherines-stuttgart.de
