A few questions to get you thinking … about stewardship

This coming Sunday, we’re going to kick off the 2018 stewardship campaign, guided by our bible motto: “For who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this offering? For all things come from you, and of your own we have given you.” (1 Chron 29.14)

During the service, the finance team would like to spend a few minutes talking with you about the things that make St. Catherines special to you and how to make sure that these things happen. To get you thinking, we will ask you to answer three questions.
In case you want to do some thinking ahead of the service, or in case you can’t make it on Sunday, but want to join in anyway, here are the questions:

  1. What are the things you like best about St. Catherine’s?
  2. What is needed to make these things happen?
  3. What are your favourite ways of supporting St. Catherines?

We look forward to being inspired by your answers, either during the service, or beforehand, if you would like to mail them to finances@stcatherines-stuttgart.de (but dont worry: you dont have to tell anybody what your answers are unless you want to!)

Well done to the children for their contributions to the service last week. Please keep them in your prayers as they go back to school this week.

Bible Study
I hope you are all well and that the back to work/school period hasn’t been too stressful!
I’m very much looking forward to seeing everyone again after this long summer break. As I mentioned in my last message, we will be meeting next week for dinner (only) at 7.30pm. If you’d like to come along then please do let me know so I can tell the restaurant. I’ll send an email confirming the date/time/address early next week.
Bible study will begin again on Wednesday 26 September at 7.30pm at the Anglican Centre, Olgastraße 56, 70182 Stuttgart.
Best,
Katy – biblestudy@stcatherines-stuttgart.de

Our Sunday School programme will start up again on 16th September. Having enjoyed the chance to spend a little longer with the children over the summer, we will continue to start Sunday School at the beginning of the service, with the parents signing their children in before they go to church and everyone returning to church during the peace.

Our next meeting will be on 27th September 2018 from 10 until 12 in the Anglican Centre. Please note that this is the FOURTH Thursday in the month not the usual THIRD, as I am on holiday during the third week of September and everybody in the group agreed to the change. See you then.
