This Sunday: Eucharist @10:00
with provision for 3-9 year olds
Pentecost @St. Catherine’s will see a Festival of Diversity celebrating the coming of the Holy Spirit with fire, the birthday of the worldwide church with candles and the different cultures and backgrounds represented at St. Catherine’s in prayer and food.
Intercessions:
You are invited to write a single line prayer in a language of your choice starting with “Come Holy Spirit…”
This is my prayer of intercession for Pentecost Day.
I hope you make as short as this one so that we can accommodate more languages.
Cebuano: Kunsad, Balaang Espiritu ug ipasulabi ang kaangayan. Amen.
English: Come, Holy Spirit, and let the fire of justice rule. Amen.+Antonio
The language of the prayer and the English translation should be sent to communicaitons@stcatherines-stuttgart.de by Friday 23:59
Prayers will only be read in one language
Bring and Share Lunch:
The service will be followed by a Bring and Share Lunch in the side room – everyone is invited to bring a dish from their own food culture. If you would like to also e-mail a copy of the recipe to webmaster@stcatherines-stuttgart.de we will publish a collection of them online so you can recreate your own “Pentecost Picnic” at home.
Next week:

Prayers
God of wind and dove and fire,
speak freedom, peace and change
over lands divided by war and by creed.
Speak refreshment, assurance and warmth
over lives afflicted by exhaustion and illness.
Speak with integrity, humility and challenge
over churches cripples by fear and finances.
Speak calm, gentleness and comfort
over lives broken by grief and loss.
Speak power, anointing and healing over each one of us,
that this Pentecost may be a new beginning,
and a catalyst for change.
Amen.
