Home Office – Home Church?

Whilst we hope we can continue to worship together in person each Sunday at St. Catherine’s, as the incidences of Corona Virus increase in Baden-Württemberg we are aware that there may be members of St. Catherine’s who have been to areas that are considered “high risk” and have been requested to work from home. There may also be others with pre-existing health conditions who are choosing for their own safety to avoid public gatherings. We would like to offer you a chance to continue to worship with us … and do “church at home”.

We have put together a shortened version of the liturgy of Morning Prayer which can be used by individuals and families, along with the psalm, gospel reading and hymns which we will be using in church. If you can work through this liturgy on a Sunday morning starting at 11:30 there will hopefully be a sense of virtual community with others at home and those in church, but even if the timing is different you will know that the words are the same.

You can find the resources here: https://stcatherines-stuttgart.de/services/home-office-home-church/

For those who can come to church you will notice a few precautions to help prevent the spread of infection. These are based on current local and diocesan guidance. As the situation develops practice may change.

With Lenten Blessings,
