Chaplain’s Musings – 27th April 2020

Create your own mood board

Building on the theme of yesterday’s reflections and the range of emotions experienced by the two followers’ of Jesus on the road to Emmaus, is a suggestion for using the emoji’s further to help us when we struggle to articulate the vast and changing landscape of our feelings at this time ….

  1. Create your own background ‘Board’. It can be any shape, any size, any colour, any design – just make sure it has an area for each member of your household / family.
  2. Create some expression emojis. Some may be well known but you can make your own. They don’t have to be yellow.
  3. Create some emotion emojis. They can be any shape: a heart can mean “I need a hug” or “I love you all …” and lightening flash might mean “keep clear I’m in a thunderous mood”.
Choose your own colours and designs.
  4. Display your mood board. Make the whole thing work for your home, whoever lives there (or maybe include family and friends elsewhere). The point is to help us when we struggle to articulate the vast and changing landscape of our feelings at this time ….

Life Affirming – Life Giving

You may have read the request for adults to send in audio files with a one sentence prayer around the theme of  “Life affirming – Life giving”. It could be a thank you, a plea …
and we will stitch those together for use on Sunday 10th May. when our theme is Prayer!
If you aren’t sure how to do this – fear not… we have now put together some instructions for recording audio in WhatsApp, Windows 10 or on an iPhone. Don’t be shy!
Either send a WhatsApp audio message to Kara or e-mail an audio file you have recorded to webmaster@stcatherines-stuttgart.de
It will be great to have as many different voices and contributions as possible next week. Thank you.

If you are struggling to get hold of facemasks for shopping/using public transport, please get in touch with Kara as one of our congregation has been busy sewing and she can send you some.
